Ashanna had been at St. John Paul II School less than a year, but her mother Tasha already saw an amazing change in her 7th grader. The public school Ashanna attended was very large, and she didn’t feel safe, Tasha said. Now Ashanna has connected with friends and can be herself.
Besides social/emotional growth, Ashanna has grown academically: Her reading progress was 8 times higher than projected. She also exceeded her projected growth in math.
As a Hindu, Ashanna is learning about the Catholic faith, which has helped her grow in her own faith. “It’s broadened her way of thinking, and that’s what we wanted for her, to think outside the box,” her mother said.
