Employer-Sponsored Giving Programs
Your Workplace May Offer Payroll Deduction
Many large employers have employee-giving programs that deduct an amount you designate from each check to go to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations; they may even match gifts made in this way. Ask your Human Resources specialist if your company has one of these plans.
Matching Gifts
Each corporation has its own policy regarding minimum and maximum amounts for matching gifts and other eligibility requirements. Check with your Human Resources representative about your company’s policy. Some companies continue to offer to match charitable gifts from retired employees. Don’t miss the opportunity to double your gift!
United Way
Many companies also have annual events and contests around giving to United Way. Did you know that you can designate St. John Paul II Catholic School to receive your gifts made through United Way. It’s a wonderful way to participate in our community and ensure the success of St. John Paul II’s efforts.
CSAF: Another Way to Give
The annual Catholic Services Appeal raises funds for many Catholic charities, including Catholic Schools. Designate all or part of your gift to the appeal for St. John Paul II Catholic School. One advantage to giving in this way is that your gift goes to St. John Paul II and still counts toward your parish’s CSA goal. When giving online, in the Comments box, be sure to type, “I wish to designate this gift to St. John Paul II Catholic School.” When giving on a paper pledge form, please write your wishes on the form using that same or similar language.
