JPII alum Kevin is graduating from DeLaSalle High School this spring as a Distinguished Scholar, which means he has a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 or better. He credits his academic success to a work ethic that he got from his parents and honed at St. John Paul II Catholic School with guidance from JPII teachers.
“My parents sacrificed so much for me to receive an education. They didn’t get that chance and wanted to make sure I did have that opportunity,” Kevin said.
His teachers built upon Kevin’s commitment to learning. “The teachers are very supportive at JPII, and they helped me whenever I was confused on a lesson,” he added. He attended JPII for all nine grades.
Kevin was accepted everywhere he applied — including the University of St. Thomas and Hamline University. He will be attending the University of Minnesota in the fall to study engineering.
